How to pay

• Online. Payments can continue to be made via the Daventry District Council website. These should be made using your debit and credit card. You will need your 11 digit rent account number to complete the payment process.

• By direct debit or standing order straight from your bank. Both forms can be downloaded in the related links area of this page. You will also need to ensure that your bank quotes your rent account number in the standing order payment details to help us identify your payment.

• By cash, cheque, postal order, debit card and credit card at the cash office at Daventry District Council. This is located at:

• By post using cheque or postal order – please make cheques payable to Daventry District Council and include your rent account number clearly on the back to help us identify your payment. The address to post your payments to is:

• By telephone using your debit and credit card. You will need your 11 digit rent account number, pen and paper to complete the payment process.

Call 01327 302381 during the hours of 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on a Friday.

Your rent is shown on your tenancy agreement and rent information letters and is reviewed every year in line with Government policy. We will give you one month’s notice, in writing, of any rent increase.

There are four weeks each year when no rent is collected.

They are usually:

• One week at Christmas
• The last two weeks of the financial year and
• The first week of the new financial year.

Daventry & District Housing’s financial year is April to March and you will be advised of the exact dates of the rent free prior to the start of each financial year. However if your rent account is in arrears you must make your normal payments during these weeks.
