There are also a number of smaller focus groups which meet on a regular basis to look at the following issues:
- Repairs – monitoring the day to day repairs service
- Major Improvement Programme – looking at any issues around the Improvement Programme
- Service Improvement – working closely with Daventry & District Housing to improve services
- Communications to tenants – to ensure that information sent out to tenants is linked to tenants’ needs
- Tenant Plan - an agreement on how tenants will be involved
- Rents and Service Charges – to ensure that rents remain affordable
Here are some other ways you could get involved:
Area Rep – you could become a representative who will report any issues in your area and join our housing officers on their monthly estate walkabouts.
Coffee Mornings – this is an informal monthly get together for all tenants.
Local Meetings – we will keep you informed of any meetings and events being held in your area.
Surveys – it is important that you take the opportunity to let us know how we are doing by filling in surveys and taking part in telephone surveys.
Training – you can come along to one of our many training courses we hold for tenants
Tenants' Resource Room – this room is available in our offices for active tenant representatives to hold meeting and use the computers.
We will widely publicise the range of ways you can become involved and keep you up to date on any changes to the service we provide to you.
If you have an interest in any of these areas and would like to make a difference to our work, get in touch.
To support the involvement of tenants and help you come along to meetings and events we will:
- Pay travel and childcare costs.
- Provide transport for those who need it.
- Provide financial support to tenants groups and local initiatives.
- Provide support and advice to tenants.
