Daventry & District Housing today gave visitors the chance to discover the benefits of sheltered housing by holding an open day at Station Court in Woodford Halse.
The event gave visitors the chance to meet staff and residents and view the facilities and apartments that are available to rent. There was also time to enjoy tea and cakes in the communal area where residents meet and take part in a wide range of activities.
Daventry & District Housing held the event to encourage the older people of the district to find out the type of accommodation and facilities on offer to them.
Keith Robb, head of neighbourhoods at Daventry & District Housing said: “We are delighted to be able to offer this high-quality accommodation which is ideal for those who want an active, independent lifestyle while having piece of mind that help is always at hand. We have scheme managers who are on site during working hours and a 24 hour emergency cover of a dedicated support team.
“Not only do we offer independence, there is also a wide range of social events from trips to the theatre, shops and garden centres to bingo and exercise in our communal lounges.”
The open day at Station Court was a great opportunity to welcome visitors interested in finding out the benefits of sheltered housing. For more information on the type of accommodation available and the benefits of sheltered housing, please call 01327 707500 or visit www.ddh.org.uk
