Tenant promises
Our 10-point plan – known as our tenant promises - was developed in consultation with tenants to meet their needs.
It means: A faster, better quality repairs service, including an approved appointments system. A 30-year programme of investment in tenants’ homes and surrounding areas totalling £210m and incorporating a more detailed, five-year programme of investment worth £43m to deliver the following: - 1,700 kitchen improvements
- 1,900 bathroom improvements
- 200 properties to have new external doors
- 1,700 properties to have new heating systems
- 350 properties to be rewired
- 280 properties to have windows replaced
- £1.2m programme of roof repairs.
- A guaranteed budget of £275,000 per year for aids and adaptations
- A new handyperson and internal decorations service
- Continuing the delivery of the sheltered housing warden service for a minimum of five years
- A budget of £1,000 per year for each sheltered scheme for communal improvements agreed with residents
- Provision to do repairs to fencing, gates and broken windows
- Security lighting and smoke alarms included in rewiring programmes
- Over bath showers as standard in bathroom improvement programme and walk-in showers as required
- A new home contents insurance scheme for tenants.
