Funding for community centre
Daventry New Street Day Centre has been given a new kitchen, new flooring and has been redecorated throughout thanks to our One in a Million project.
Under the scheme, for every million pounds that we spend with our major improvement partner Connaught, the company will give back one per cent of the value to benefit the district.
Connaught is working with us to improve homes by fitting new kitchens, bathrooms and central heating and making other necessary improvements.
The New Street Day centre is used by a number of different voluntary and community groups and 300 people use its facilities each week. Our One in a Million group includes a panel of our tenants who inspected the centre to determine whether it qualified for this investment and all agreed that it was a worthy beneficiary.
